Nouvelle Epoque Mavrodaphne is the monovarietal dry expression of the emblematic red variety Mavrodaphne, which has been cultivated for centuries in Kefalonia. The grapes used in the production of this wine come from pre-phylloxera vineyards of Palliki, which yield just 400 kg/hectare. The wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and is from the 2020 harvest.

NOTES

Aromas of black fruits, with plum as the dominant one, combined with the characteristic vegetal notes of laurel and eucalyptus. Notes of chocolate, coffee, as well as tobacco leaves and sweet spices from the twelve-month maturation in American oak barrels. It is favored by aging, imparting aromas of ink and tar.
