Tasting Notes
Nose of cinnamon, vanilla and red fruits. Mouthfeel of tropical fruits, caramelized banana and vanilla. Aftertaste of orange peel, dark chocolate and spices.
Production
This single malt whisky has been matured in American white oak bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry and cabernet sauvignon casks.
Served
The addition of a small amount of bottled water often helps whiskies to "open up" or "bloom", and Dalmore is no exception. The water calms the aggressive sweetness and helps reduce the alcohol burn, although the latter is still considered.
