GRAND PUY LACOSTE - PAUILLAC 2016 750ml
Description
The Blend: Made up of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot.
Terroir & Vines: Sourced from 38-year-old vines planted on deep, well-draining gravel hillocks overlooking the Gironde estuary.
Maturation: Aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barriques, using 75% new oak.
Alcohol Content: Moderately low by modern standards at 13.3% to 13.5%, resulting in a beautifully fresh and non-showy profil
Aroma: A quintessential Pauillac bouquet featuring intense blackberry, cassis (blackcurrant), tobacco leaf, pencil shavings, cedar, and subtle mint.
Palate: Medium-bodied and intensely structured yet incredibly seamless. It trades overly plush fruit for classic notes of dark cherry, savory graphite, and a refreshing seam of acidity.
Finish: Deft, persistent, and remarkably long with powdery, melting tannins.
