The 2020 Château Le Pape is a highly regarded, elegant Bordeaux red wine that offers an approachable, high-quality expression of the Pessac-Léognan appellation at an excellent value point. Description
Composition: A heavily Merlot-dominant blend consisting of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Winemaking: Crafted by the exact same elite vineyard management and winemaking team as the neighboring Grand Cru Classé, Château Haut-Bailly.
The Nose: Opens with expressive floral aromas of lilacs, violets, and lavender, evolving into ripe black raspberries, dark plum, and cherries. It is underscored by classic gravelly terroir notes of graphite, pencil lead, and tobacco leaf.
