The Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood whisky was created by Malt Master David Stewart who designed the process in 1982. The whiskies are matured for at least 12 years in oak and ex-bourbon casks before being transferred for 9 months in ex-sherry Spanish casks.
Description
Grape, honey and flowers are the aromas of Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood which will conquer our smell and will be combined in the taste with cinnamon, citrus, tobacco, vanilla and spices, so as to give us this wonderful result. The aftertaste of Balvenie 12 Year Old Doublewood is persistent and long, with spices and vanilla dominating, thus giving a spicy, but at the same time sweet and warm sensation. An excellent malt whisky which is suitable to enjoy with good company after a dinner, combining it with ice or soda.
